Completed in 2021, this five-bedroom house was designed around a mature eucalyptus that the planning officers asked the owners to keep. The result is a timber-clad house with full-height glazing at the back, so the kitchen, dining and living spaces all look onto the garden.

The ground floor is one continuous space with a central kitchen island, a sunken living area and a separate snug. Upstairs are five bedrooms and four bathrooms, including a principal suite with a dressing room and a balcony over the garden.

The house has an air-source heat pump, solar panels and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, which is why it achieves an EPC rating of B despite its size. Off-street parking is for two cars.
